In the dreary break room of the Law Offices of Robertson, Anschutz, & Schneid, a love story was born. Brittany boldly asked Steve if he would join her fantasy football office team, because frankly, there were not many takers since it was her first time and she was set on being commissioner (and because he’s SO nice to look at, obviously). When he accepted, and asked for her phone number so he could “help” her with her picks, Brittany was both excited and offended. She had already purchased $35 worth of fantasy football magazines and studied tirelessly by the pool for a week. While she was clearly already prepared for the draft and ready to put Steve in his place, she took the bait. It wasn’t until he revealed he would be leaving the office and moving to Tallahassee that she showed much interest, despite having the biggest crush on him internally. They texted all day, and talked on the phone & FaceTime’d all night through the distance. Steve eventually made up a reason for needing to come back to Fort Lauderdale (as he would the following couple of weeks) and the two had their first date consisting of wining and dining at The Greek Islands, and catching a Miami Heat game (they lost). From then, the two endured a long distance whirlwind romance, moved into a home together, raised their beloved puppies Oakley and Teddy, traveled the world, and fell deeper in love each day.

One very cold night in a tiny cottage in Tallahassee, Brittany was gently nudged and awakened from her sleep because Steve just HAD to tell her he loved her for the first time. Even though she didn’t answer right away because she wasn’t sure if she was dreaming, she said she loved him, too. It’s safe to say it was in that moment they both knew they would spend their lives together. So it was no surprise that exactly three years later, on January 2nd, 2017, Steve orchestrated a romantic scavenger hunt to ask Brittany to marry him. Much to his delight, she said yes.

Can you picture it? A few days on the Amalfi Coast drinking local wine and limoncello, eating the fresh food, taking day boat trips to Capri, relaxing on the beach in Positano, taking cooking classes in Ravello, catching the sunset in Sorrento… We can’t wait have you join us on our dream trip!

Lucky for you, we’ve gone through the motions of booking our trip before so we can offer lots of advice and information. Lucky for us, we had a lot of help and resources that will be available to you, too!

We went into our wedding planning process thinking the trip to Italy was going to be outrageous, but were pleasantly surprised at how affordable it can be. The most important take away to booking your trip to the stunning Amalfi Coast is BOOK EARLY! Flights are the cheapest exactly ONE YEAR out from the date. We’ve found nonstop round-trip flights from Miami to Rome for under $500 when looking a year out. Amalfi Coast accommodations (especially in Ravello) book quickly. We will have a list of preferred hotels available for you. However, if you were planning to stay at a different hotel or book an AirBnb, it is best to book as far out as possible. Can’t book a year in advance? Don’t worry, there are still very affordable options closer to the wedding.

Not sure where to fly into? Naples is the closet airport. However, if you are looking to save money, the cheapest flights are into Rome. The only difference? A train ticket. We reccomend flying into Rome, having a nice meal, and catching a train into Naples. From there, you will need to take either the ferry, or a car to Ravello. For a simpler way to get in, join our private bus on Friday, May 17th at 11am for the ride down. Make sure you have your camera ready for the iconic drive with breathtaking views!

We recommend this for anyone celebrating an anniversary, birthday, or a Tuesday in Italy for that matter. Be sure to make a reservation for this formal affair.

  • Transport From Rome to Ravello

    A private bus has been secured for transport from Rome to Ravello. This is the easiest method as it is a straight shot and there is no worry of missing connecting trains/cars.

    To be picked up, you must go to the Rome airport Arrival gate by 11:00am. You will see an attendant with a sign that says Hurley Wedding. The transport will be about 4-5 hours (don’t worry, there is a bathroom on board) and will end at Villa Maria and Hotel Giordano. There is seating for 45 and enough luggage for 55 people, so you don’t need to worry about being uncomfortable or luggage space.

    Price per person is 50 euro. Please submit payment if you plan on using the bus via Venmo by May 5th.

  • Yacht Day - To Capri

    Let us start by saying, this is totally optional! We plan to do this activity, and thought we would open up the invitation for you to join! We completely understand if you choose to forgo this event.

    Arrive to the dock at Amalfi to enjoy a relaxing day trip to Capri – sipping local beer and wine, and singing Italian classics as you sail through the Tyrrhenian Sea. If you are daring enough, cannonball off of our private yacht into the refreshing, blue water! Upon arrival at Capri, do a little shopping and take in the views. The boat rides to and from Capri are sure to be some of the most beautiful sights of your life. This activity will be 117 euro per person.

    There will be a stop at the Blue Grotto where you will have a chance to take a rowboat into the grotto, weather permitting. If you choose to do so, it will be a separate 14 euro charge that is independent of the boating company we are using.

    There is a restaurant in Amalfi where we recommend joining us for dinner once we arrive back at the dock. It is located in the middle of the piazza overlooking the Amalfi Duomo. Please let us know if you plan on attending dinner so we can ask for a reservation.

    Please note, spots on this yacht are limited. If you plan on attending, payment is needed before April 16th via venmo.

    Join us for a scenic trip to Positano. Marvel at the backdrop of beautiful, colorful, cliffside hotels and shops from the beach. We will be making lunch reservations at the popular Da Ferdinando, a beachside restaurant. Getting to Da Ferdinando is half the fun as it can only be reached by boat! (It technically can also be reached by foot, but its off the beaten path so I recommend the boat option) Board the restaurant’s own wooden boat and take in the sights while you swoosh through the water on the way to Da Ferdinando’s private beach. Sip a cocktail while you relax on the beach after lunch. Attendance is only available by reservation, so please let us know as soon as you can if you plan on coming! Please see Da Ferdinando’s reviews for an idea of pricing.

    Please note – to get to Positano you must take a bus (2 euro each way) or taxi to the Amalfi port. There, you will find boats that will transport you to Positano (about 10 euro each way).
